Stronger Together: Chenghui Team Building Trip to Guilin, Guangxi
How a shared journey built trust, communication and teamwork
On July 19, 2025, the Chenghui team stepped away from the routines of production, sales, customer service and daily work for a special team-building trip to Guilin, Guangxi, China.
Led by our CEO, May Yan, the trip was more than a company outing. In fact, it was a chance for colleagues to relax, talk, laugh together and strengthen the bonds that support our work every day.
At Chenghui, we believe a company is not built by machines, equipment or products alone. It is built by people. And when people trust each other, support each other and grow together, a stronger company follows naturally.
Quick summary: The Guilin trip was about more than scenery. It was about building trust, improving communication and reminding the team that strong products come from strong teamwork. In short, we grew closer as a team.

A Journey Beyond the Workplace
The drilling industry needs discipline, technical knowledge, patience and close teamwork. From manufacturing and quality control to purchasing, logistics, sales and global customer service, every department plays a key role in delivering reliable drilling tools.
However, teamwork should not exist only inside a factory or office. Sometimes, the best way to strengthen a team is simply to spend time together outside the normal work setting.
That was one of the reasons behind our Guilin trip. Surrounded by the famous karst mountains and beautiful Guangxi scenery, colleagues had a chance to set work aside for a while and enjoy a more relaxed side of life together.
There were talks, laughter, outdoor activities and plenty of playful moments. For a team that normally works toward production schedules, customer needs and delivery deadlines, these simple moments were very valuable.
Work Hard, Laugh Together
One of the most memorable parts of the trip was the group outdoor activities. Away from desks, workshops and production schedules, everyone became simply another member of the team.
There were no departments separating people. There were no job titles standing between colleagues. Instead, there was teamwork, friendly competition, laughter and plenty of water splashing.
Some people tried to stay dry. Others quickly found that this was probably impossible. Before long, everyone was just enjoying the moment.
These experiences may look like simple fun, but they carry a deeper meaning. When colleagues talk and work together in a relaxed setting, they often understand each other better. As a result, relationships become more natural, talks become easier, and the sense of belonging grows stronger.
The photos from the trip captured that spirit exactly — real interaction rather than staged corporate moments.
People Are at the Heart of Chenghui
Under the leadership of CEO May Yan, Chenghui has always cared not only about business growth, but also about the people behind the business.
We believe employees should not be seen as positions on an org chart. Every team member has duties, ideas, pressures, hopes and a life beyond work.
Because of this, a healthy company needs more than performance targets. It also needs respect, communication, trust and chances for people to grow together.
This people-first idea shapes our team culture. We want employees to take their work seriously, but we also believe they should have time to relax, talk and enjoy the journey together. In short, lasting business growth is tied to lasting people growth.
Leadership Is Also About Walking With the Team
For CEO May Yan, the Guilin trip was not just an activity organized for employees. It was something experienced together with the team.
Good leadership is not only about making decisions. It is also about understanding the people who turn those decisions into reality.
Spending time together outside the workplace gives managers and employees a chance to talk in a more natural setting. For example, a talk during a trip can sometimes reveal things that may never come up in a formal meeting.
A shared activity can create bonds that later make workplace teamwork easier. Meanwhile, a moment of laughter can remind everyone that behind every job title is a real person.
This is the company culture Chenghui keeps building.
Strong Teams Build Reliable Products
Team culture may seem separate from manufacturing, but in fact the two are closely linked. Making drilling tools requires teamwork across many stages.
| Stage | Team Involved |
|---|---|
| Customer requirement | Sales team |
| Technical confirmation | Engineering team |
| Material prep | Purchasing and warehouse |
| Production | Manufacturing team |
| Quality check | QC team |
| Packaging and shipment | Logistics team |
| Final delivery | Customer service |
If communication breaks down at any stage, the final result can suffer. That is why strong internal bonds matter. A company able to make reliable products also needs a team able to work reliably together.
For Chenghui, team building is therefore not just an employee benefit. It is part of building a stronger organization.
Growing Together Through Every Stage
Every company goes through different stages. There are busy periods. There are hard orders. There are urgent deliveries. There are challenges that need close teamwork across departments. And there are wins worth celebrating together.
Through all of these moments, one idea stays important: no single person builds a company alone. Progress comes from many people doing different jobs toward the same goal.
Because of this, the Guilin trip gave us a chance to value those relationships. It reminded us that although we may work in different roles, we are moving in the same direction.
More Than Colleagues
One of the most valuable results of team building is something hard to measure with numbers. It is connection.
After working together for months or years, colleagues naturally know each other’s work roles. However, outside the workplace, people see another side of one another.
The quiet colleague may suddenly become the most competitive player in a team game. The serious production manager may be the one making everyone laugh. Meanwhile, the salesperson who normally talks to overseas customers may be fully focused on avoiding a splash of water.
These moments make teams more human. And sometimes, that is exactly what a growing company needs.
Returning With New Energy
The Guilin journey came to an end, but the experience came back with us. We returned to work with stronger bonds, good memories and fresh energy.
The machines started running again. Customer inquiries went on. Production schedules went on. Orders still needed to be finished.
However, something had changed. We understood each other a little better. We laughed a little more easily. And we were reminded that the people beside us are not simply colleagues doing separate jobs.
We are one team.
Moving Forward Together
As Chenghui keeps growing its drilling tool business and serving customers in global markets, products and technology will stay very important. However, people will always stay at the center of that growth.
We will keep improving our production skill. We will keep strengthening quality control. We will keep developing new drilling solutions. At the same time, we will keep building a workplace where employees can learn, contribute and grow together.
Because behind every drill bit we make, every shipment we prepare and every customer we serve, there is a team of people making it happen.
The Guilin trip of July 19, 2025 was only one chapter in that journey. More challenges lie ahead. There will also be more wins worth celebrating. And we hope to meet them the same way we met Guilin: together.
Stronger Teams. Reliable Tools. Shared Journey.
Chenghui — Built by people, driven by teamwork.
From the factory floor to drilling sites around the world, our people make the difference.
