Simple structure, economical drilling
Six design advantages behind the One-Piece Carbide Drag Bit.
01 / 06 One-Piece Integrated StructureThe integrated body and blade design provides a simple and robust structure for general drilling applications. | 02 / 06 Tungsten Carbide Cutting ElementsWear-resistant carbide cutting elements improve cutting durability in soft and medium-soft formations. | 03 / 06 Fast Penetration in Soft FormationsThe scraper-style cutting structure efficiently shears soil, clay, mudstone and other soft formations. |
04 / 06 Open Blade DesignWide spaces between blades help improve cuttings removal and reduce blockage in loose formations. | 05 / 06 Economical Drilling SolutionCarbide drag bits are often a practical, cost-effective option when expensive PDC cutters are not necessary for the formation. | 06 / 06 Multiple Sizes & ThreadsDifferent diameters and connection options are available for different drilling rigs. |
Used across water well, grouting and construction drilling
This one-piece carbide drag bit is suitable for water well drilling, grouting holes, foundation drilling and construction drilling. Other applications include geotechnical drilling, shallow geothermal drilling, soft formation open-hole drilling and general engineering boreholes.
01 Water Well DrillingFast penetration for water well projects in soil and soft formations. | 02 Grouting HolesReliable hole formation for grouting and foundation projects. |
03 Construction DrillingEfficient drilling for construction and general engineering boreholes. | 04 Soft Formation DrillingScraper-style cutting for soil, clay, mudstone and weathered formations. |
Suitable Rock FormationsRecommended primarily for soft to medium-soft sedimentary formations and loose ground conditions.
⚠️ Selection note: For hard, highly abrasive or strongly fractured formations, PDC, roller-cone or other drilling structures may be more suitable. Please contact our engineers for alternative recommendations. | ||||||||||

Which drag bit should you choose?
Carbide and PDC drag bits are designed for different formations and drilling priorities. Carbide drag bits are economical soft-formation tools, while PDC cutters provide greater cutting durability and broader formation capability.
| Feature | Carbide Drag Bit | PDC Drag Bit |
|---|---|---|
| Cutting Material | Tungsten carbide | Polycrystalline diamond compact |
| Best Formation | Soft / loose formations | Soft to medium-hard formations |
| Initial Cost | Generally lower | Generally higher |
| Wear Resistance | Good in suitable soft formations | Higher potential wear resistance |
| Structure | Simple and robust | More specialized cutter structure |
| Typical Use | Water well / construction / soil drilling | Water well / mining / anchor / harder formations |

Why the one-piece structure matters
The one-piece structure combines the main cutting body and blades into a robust assembly. This design is particularly suitable for large-diameter soft-formation drilling where structural simplicity and reliability are important.
Simple Structural Design A straightforward structure with fewer components for reliable operation. | Strong Blade Support The integrated blade support provides structural strength for large-diameter drilling. | Easy Inspection Simple field inspection and maintenance for reduced downtime. |
Suitable for Large Diameters Good suitability for large-diameter soft-formation drilling projects. | Reduced Structural Complexity Fewer structural interfaces can simplify operation and reduce risk of failure. | Robust Field Handling One-piece bits are easy to handle and transport on site. |
