The rods transmit rotation, torque, axial load and drilling fluid between the drilling rig and the downhole core drilling assembly.
Manufactured from high-strength seamless steel tubing and heat-treated according to the required rod specification, they are designed to provide a reliable combination of strength, toughness, wear resistance and thread durability in demanding core drilling conditions.
Available in common 1.5 m and 3.0 m lengths, with different wireline rod sizes available to match corresponding core barrel systems. The reference supplier also lists 1.5 m and 3 m as standard lengths.

The rods transmit rotation, torque, axial load and drilling fluid between the drilling rig and the downhole core drilling assembly. Manufactured from high-strength seamless steel tubing and heat-treated according to the required rod specification, they are designed to provide a reliable combination of strength, toughness, wear resistance and thread durability in demanding core drilling conditions. Connecting the rig to the downhole core drilling assembly
Wireline drill rods connect the surface drilling equipment to the core barrel and drill bit at the bottom of the borehole. They perform several important functions:
